The Reykjavik Hat is an ultra-cozy hat that was designed by The Knitty Pine while staying at a campsite in Reykjavik, Iceland. It has quickly become The Knitty Pine’s most popular pattern to date.
It is a simple and classic ribbed super bulky knit hat that will keep you warm and cozy all winter long. Reykjavik has sizes available for the whole family and offers a relaxed or fitted version. It is knit with Lion Brand Yarns Wool-ease Thick & Quick so this hat knits up quickly and is a great for beginners.
Reykjavik Hat is topped with a snap on faux fux pom by Peony Lane Poms.
Sizes:
0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months, toddler, (child, teen/adult small, adult medium, adult large) - head circumference 13-14”, 14-16”, 16-18”, 18-19” (19-20.5”, 20.5-21.5”, 21”-22”, 22”-24”)
Gauge:
4” x 4” = 13 stitches x 14 rounds in 1x1 ribbing in the round.
Recommended Needles:
US 11 | 8mm, 16” circular (or longer) and double pointed needles.
Recommended Yarn:
Lion Brand Yarns Wool-ease Thick & Quick or other size 6 Super Bulky yarn to achieve gauge.
Approximately 50-115 yards.
