The Mont Tremblant Hat is a bulky weight, double brim toque. It was designed to be an easy knit that is great to use up scrap yarn. The mosaic detailing creates texture and interest in the toque but is easy to achieve. It can be knit using a different colour yarn for each 4 or 8 round mosaic section if desired. Choose bold contrast or a muted colour palette, either way the Mont Tremblant Hat is functional and stylish to wear on the next outdoor adventure.
Sample in pattern is a teen/adult small on a 21.5” head circumference. It is knit using 1 main colour and 3 contrasting colours.
Have fun and get creative with your colour choices.
Sizes:
0-6 months (14.5”), 6-12 months (15.75”), toddler (16.75”) child (17.5”), teen/adult small (18.5”), adult medium (19.25”), adult large (21”). Finished hat circumference shown. Hat is knit with 2-3” of negative ease.
Gauge:
4” x 4” = 13 stitches x 22 rounds in stockinette,
Recommended Needles:
US 10.5 | 6.5mm – 16” circular (or longer cable) & double pointed needles
